About Renderboxes - Our Mission | Renderboxes

We build
machines that
give time back.

Renderboxes create hand-assembled workstations for the world's most demanding creative workflows.

Made in britain

Engineered for silence

Unlocks creative potential

Free your
imagination

Every creative professional knows the feeling. You’ve nailed the concept, refined the detail, set the parameters – and then you wait. Minutes become hours. Hours become overnight renders. Deadlines tighten. Revisions pile up. Your best ideas get compromised because your hardware can’t keep pace with your imagination.

We started Renderboxes to solve that problem. Not with cloud subscriptions or render farms in distant server rooms, but with quiet, powerful machines you can trust – right under your desk.

BROWSE SYSTEMS

Why We're Different

Most workstation manufacturers build for specs. We build for workflows.

What sets us apart isn’t just performance – it’s performance without compromise. Our whisper-quiet cooling systems mean you can run multiple GPUs at full load without the roar of industrial fans. No distractions. No overheating. Just raw power wrapped in elegant British engineering.

We don’t chase RGB lighting or gamer aesthetics. We design machines that belong in studios, edit suites, and creative spaces where the work matters more than the hardware.

Built by People Who Understand

Renderboxes was founded by creators, for creators. We’ve sat through the same render queues, missed the same deadlines, and felt the same frustration when a machine can’t deliver.

We take the time to understand your specific needs, whether you’re a solo freelancer scaling up or a studio replacing an entire fleet. We work directly with your team, advise on configurations, and stay involved long after delivery.

Trusted Where It Counts

Our workstations have supported award-winning work. They sit in the studios of independent artists doing career-defining projects, and they power tight-deadline agency briefs and long-form feature productions.

We only reference clients and projects with permission. But the pattern is clear: when time and reliability matter, people come to Renderboxes.

Time Is Power

It’s more than a line – it’s our philosophy.

Every machine we build is designed to give you more time – time to iterate, to experiment, to refine your craft without waiting for progress bars. Time to say yes to ambitious ideas instead of compromising because the render won’t finish. Time to work the way you’ve always wanted to.

Because in the end, creativity isn’t about the tools. It’s about what you do when the tools finally get out of your way.

Where it began

2016

The idea for
Renderboxes
became a reality.

2017

First workstation released

The Molecule, which was equipped with 7x Nvidia 1080Ti GPUs and dual Intel Xeon CPUs. This innovative system bridged the gap between enterprise server solutions and high-count GPU availability for small studios. Our flagship machine.

2018

Improved Molecule
released

Featuring improved liquid cooling. This version was built with 7x Nvidia 2080Ti GPUs and Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs, and marked our debut in designing and manufacturing our own chassis.

2019

New models

Renderboxes conceived the ideas for the Nano and Atom workstations.

We aimed to reinvent air cooling on dense GPU configurations while keeping the machines quiet and able to sit desk-side for pure workstation performance.

2020

Nano and Atom released

The Nano achieving a world’s first by successfully decoupling multi GPU from the motherboard. This allowed for independent cooling of the GPU and CPU, resulting in super quiet and cool operation under 100% load. As a result, the Nano became our most popular machine and best seller.

2021

Continued innovation

In our continuous efforts to innovate and deliver the best performance, we released the third revision of the Molecule. This time, we exclusively adopted the AMD Threadripper Pro platform, featuring 128 PCIe lanes, Enterprise grade ECC, and NVMe Gen 4.0 as standard. Our new PCIe daughterboard was also introduced for the Nano, which provided unprecedented multi GPU performance, stability, and reliability.

2022

A new milestone

Renderboxes reached a new milestone with the release of revision 4 for the Nano and Molecule (Liquid) workstations, as well as the upcoming production stage of our latest creation, the Molecule AIR. This cutting-edge workstation features 8x Nvidia GPUs and a rugged, highly serviceable form factor, designed in collaboration with award-winning DOP Brett Danton and global media agency WPP.

2023

New heights

We reached new heights, from the dizzying power of the Molecule Air XL to the tiny powerhouse that is the Photon. Ending the Year with the advent of the latest Threadripper CPU featuring up to 96 cores of sheer power and our new rack mount form factors especially for our enterprise customs, Renderboxes is constantly moving forwards.

2024

Rising higher

The Electron was introduced, Based on the Atom but with AMD Ryzen 9 powering its heart. With clock speeds starting to exceed 5.6Ghz we listened and designed a snappy, compact workstation built for real production: responsive timelines, fast sims, and effortless multitasking. Electron pairs serious CPU performance with flexible GPU options, clean airflow, and quiet cooling—ideal for creators who need day-to-day speed without stepping up to multi-GPU compute. An Unreal artists new favourite.

2025

The fleet is assembled

2025 saw the Photon, Nano Pro, and a super-improved Molecule Air enter the room. Photon became the grab-and-go powerhouse: compact, fast, and built for creators who need serious GPU acceleration anywhere, from day one. Nano Pro pushed density and efficiency, delivering workstation-class performance in a refined footprint. Molecule Air levelled up with cleaner thermals, smarter serviceability, and scalable multi-GPU muscle powered by dual AMD Epyc —ready for demanding AI, rendering, and real-time pipelines where uptime and expansion matter.
