Terms and Conditions of Sale (Consumers)

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”) govern all sales of bespoke goods and services by Renderboxes Ltd (“Renderboxes”, “we”, “us” or “the Seller”) to individual customers purchasing for personal use (“Customer”). By placing an order with us, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms comply with applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  1. Definitions

    1. “Goods” : Any bespoke computer systems or related products supplied by Renderboxes.
    2. “Invoice” : The document issued by Renderboxes confirming the Customer’s order, pricing, and terms.
    3. “Contract” : The agreement formed when the Customer accepts the Invoice and makes full payment.
    4. “Customer” : An individual consumer purchasing Goods for personal, non-commercial use.
    5. “Renderboxes” : Renderboxes Ltd, registered in England (No. 11701666), trading from Unit 9, The Laurels, Manston Business Park, Ramsgate, CT12 5NQ.
  2. Orders and Payment

    1. All systems are built to order and classed as bespoke goods under UK law.
    2. A Contract is formed upon acceptance of an Invoice and full payment.
    3. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
    4. Payment must be made in full before production or dispatch. No Goods will be built or shipped without cleared payment.
    5. We accept payment by bank transfer, debit/credit card, or Stripe.
    6. Invoices act as proof of purchase. Receipts are issued only on request.
  3. Customisation & Cancellations

    1. All Renderboxes systems are bespoke and built to the Customer’s specifications.
    2. You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, provided production has not started.
    3. Once production has commenced, cancellation is no longer possible, and the right to withdraw is waived.
    4. If cancellation is accepted, a fee of up to 15% may apply to cover labour and component allocation.
    5. Changes to an order already in production will incur a £45 administrative fee.
  4. Delivery and Risk

    1. Delivery will be made to the address provided in the Invoice or arranged for collection.
    2. All Goods must be paid for in full before dispatch or collection.
    3. Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
    4. If you fail to receive or collect the Goods on time, we may:
      • Store the Goods at your risk and cost
      • Consider delivery complete for risk transfer purposes
    5. Risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery. If you choose your own courier, risk passes when the Goods are handed over.
    6. Claims for damage or loss must be submitted in writing:
      • Damage: within 72 hours of delivery
      • Loss: within 24 hours of expected delivery
        Late claims may not be accepted.
    7. International customers are responsible for any customs, import duties, or local taxes.
  5. Returns & Refunds

    1. Bespoke Goods are non-refundable unless faulty or misdescribed.
    2. If a system is found to be faulty, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.
    3. Any refund will be issued after inspection and confirmation of a defect.
    4. The following items cannot be returned or refunded:
      • Opened or registered software (e.g. Windows licences)
      • Custom peripherals or accessories
      • Shipping costs

  6. Warranty

    1. Every Renderbox is covered by:
      • 1-Year Return-to-Base Labour Warranty
      • 3-Year Parts Warranty on Renderboxes-supplied components
      • 3-Year Remote Support (email and remote assistance)
    2. The warranty does not cover:
      • Misuse, accidents, or overclocking
      • Third-party parts causing damage
      • Improper packaging during return transit
    3. Repairs are typically completed within 10 business days, depending on parts availability.
    4. Customers must package returned systems safely. Damage caused by poor packaging is not covered.

  7. Technical Support

    1. Renderboxes provides free technical support for 3 years post-sale.
    2. Support includes setup guidance, thermal optimisation, software compatibility, and BIOS configuration.
    3. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time.

  8. Limitation of Liability

    1. We are not liable for:
      • Indirect or consequential loss
      • Loss of personal data
      • Delays in production or delivery
    2. Our total liability is limited to the value of the order.
    3. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
  9. Data Protection

    1. Customer data is handled in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
    2. Data is used only for fulfilling orders, service provision, and essential communication.

  11. Force Majeure

    1. Renderboxes is not liable for failure to deliver or perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
      • Natural disasters
      • Strikes or industrial action
      • Component supply shortages
      • Acts of government or war
  12. Governing Law

    1. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
    2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
